 In His Service, Under His Grace, By His Love - ALMs
"ALMs" is how I affectionately refer to Altared Lives Ministries. It's my pet name for a ministry that has been in my heart since the early 90's. The ministry has evolved over the years to be what you now see before you.
Truly, Altared Lives has been a labor of love, or my alms, to the masses. The dictionary defines "alms" as money or any donation given to the poor or needy. Altared Lives Ministries, Inc. ("ALMs") has definitely lived up to that name as the tremendous investment of time, finances, and talent of a few for the benefit of others has been the modus operandi of this ministry.
From the early days on the local radio station, to providing original beats for rappers to flow to online, to videos with unusual titles, to 100 or so Bible teaching articles, to humorous writings, to a blog, to animated characters that talked and followed with their eyes mouse movements on a web page, to unorthodox teaching via podcasts with sound effects, to publishing articles in a local urban newspaper, to Altared Lives Radio, to photographing Gospel Hip Hop concerts, to ministering at local churches, to venturing onto Facebook, Twitter and Myspace -- ALMs has definitely been represented in a myriad of ways of ministry.
The question now is, "what remains for the future?" To that question, I do not have an answer. Perhaps the Lord will bless the ministry to expand into new areas. Perhaps not. My desire is to have a greater impact on the holistic well-being of career and college-aged young adults. My desire is to be a bigger blessing to the artists who are featured on Altared Lives Radio. And to that end, I therefore plan.

I Need You
ALMs is pretty much a one-woman show at the moment. Yes, pretty much everything you see and hear concerning Altared Lives Ministries, Inc. is accomplished by what God placed inside of me -- by necessity. I do thank all those who have provided station IDs, and those who have given financially in the past.
But to thrust into the future, I will need MUCH MORE HELP -- hands-on help and financial help.
What You Can Do
Volunteer your time, talent and gifts. If you know php code, PAL scripting, app development, Content Management System development, web site development, social networking/forum building/moderation, you can help the ministry. It would be on a volunteer basis.
If you can do audio production, you can do drops for the station.
Pray for the ministry daily.
Give financially. Why not pray about making a donation today.
